Collection: Chapan

Chapan was founded in 2011 by Jumagul Sarieva. Ms. Sarieva dreamed about starting a clothing design company all her life, and waited until after her own children were grown to pursue her dream. Though the company has been almost entirely boot strapped by Ms. Sarieva, Chapan has won numerous awards in Kyrgyzstan, Russia and beyond.

The featured product, the chapan, is inspired by the traditional quilted coat of the Central Asian nomads. Ms. Sarieva has updated this classic with contemporary styling, fine detailing, cut and shape to fit modern fashion tastes at home in Kyrgyzstan as well as those of U.S. and European customers.
